UKIYO The Jute - Natural Rubber Yoga Mat

Opening:

Upon unwrapping your yoga mat, you may detect a mild but harmless odor. To address this, please unroll and allow your mat to air out for 1-2 days before use. Initially, your new mat might have curled corners, but these will naturally flatten over time, providing you with a perfectly even practice surface. Consider storing the mat inside out for added convenience.

Cleaning:

Due to natural rubber's more porous cell structure, it absorbs water. For cleaning, avoid submerging or soaking your natural rubber mat. Instead, use a vinegar/water solution to spray the mat and then wipe it down with a soft cloth. Regular use of this method will help maintain the mat's freshness and hygiene.

Drying:

When drying your mat, select a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Hanging your mat is the preferred option as it allows for proper air circulation across the surface. Steer clear of using a dryer, as it may intensify the rubber smell and harm the material. If your mat becomes slightly damp, gently press it between two towels before air-drying.

Storing:

Prolonged exposure to sunlight can lead to fading and brittleness, rendering the mat unusable. To preserve your mat's quality, we recommend storing it in a mat bag when not in use and away from direct sunlight.
